Environmental

Review of 10-Year Stewardship Report

A successful stakeholder evaluation of Alberta Pacific Forest Industries Stewardship Report in 2002-03.

Land Use Proposal

Successful application to use public land for adventure tours in the Southern Rockies Forest District. Application was based on the Treadsoftly’s extensive environmental policy and practices planning. Approval conditions are to follow policies and practices as laid out in proposal.

Environmental and Sustainable Development Policy and EMS

Developed a comprehensive environmental and sustainable development policy complete with a code of practices. Current work involves the structuring of policies and practices into an Environmental Management System and performance indicators.

Review of Informational Booklets

Readership review of Sour Gas and Flaring informational booklets for the Petroleum Communication Foundation during the Spring 1999.

Alberta's Regulatory Reform in the Oil and Gas Sector

A paper written on command and control compliance based on lessons learnt during oil and gas related project conducted between 1995 and 1999.

Review of Environmental and Safety Report

Completed a third party evaluation of the effectiveness of Amoco Canada's 1996 Environmental and Safety Report.

Environmental Performance Benchmark Development

Developed environmental performance indicators and benchmarks for Alberta's oil and gas sector. This research was conducted with the support of the Alberta Energy and Utilities Board, Environment Canada and the Haskayne School of Business.

Marketing

CrowsnestGuide Visitors Guide

Cameron is involved in the development and production of the initial and now subsequent editions of the CrowsnestGuide Visitors Guide Book. This is a full-colour community marketing based initiative for the Crowsnest Pass in southwestern Alberta.

Customer Service Control and Marketing Plan

Customer service control and audit plan for Hot Springs Enterprise Unit, Canadian Heritage - Kootenay National Park in April, 1994. This plan was then extended in to a marketing plan. The goal was to increase attendance at the Hot Springs with a focus on tour groups.

Other Projects

Haskayne School of Business, University of Calgary

Besides being a sessional instructor in the BComm and MBA programs, Cameron has coordination of a pilot project to develop information systems knowledge support for students. Includes instruction of undergraduate and graduate business students in business software applications, instructional materials development, and consultation with students in developing information systems solutions for business.

Funding Proposals

We have been involved in annual grant writing for a variety of organizations. Some highlights include the Crowsnest Pass Historical Society application for funding to the Wild Rose Foundation and other funding sources in 1998 and grant proposals and a business plan for funding of the Millican-Ogden Community Association's LINCK project in 1994.
